Medford, OR – According to the city officials, detours using Hillcrest, Sunrise and Springbrook Roads will be in place.

Officials also announced that this closure will allow contractor Knife River Materials to build retaining walls and other ramp and intersection improvements with Foothill Road.

Once those ramps are complete and open, construction will switch to the west bound on and off-ramps June 12 through July 19.

The work is part of the $62 million Foothill Road project being constructed in part due toa $15 million Federal Build Grant received by Medford. It improves Foothill Road from Delta Waters Road south to Hillcrest Road.

When complete at the end of 2026, the existing two-lane road will feature two lanes in each direction, along with turn lanes, sidewalks, bike lanes and street lighting.
