    Due to high temperatures forecasted, Medford City Manager Sjothun issued severe weather event declaration effective for Sunday, August 13 – Tuesday, August 15

    Medford, OR – According to the city officials, the City of Medford partnered with ACCESS to open and operate a cooling shelter.

    City officials also said that the cooling shelter will be open Sunday, August 13 – Tuesday, August 15 from 12 – 8 PM and will be operated by ACCESS at the former Kelly Shelter – 324 West 6th Street.

    The cooling shelter will provide water, restrooms, snacks, and cooling area and water for pets. Individuals may come and go.

    The City has set up text notifications for citizens who would like to be notified when warming or cooling shelters are opened.
