Medford, OR – Crews have made significant strides in containing a three-alarm fire that broke out earlier today in the 300 block of Front Street. The blaze, which heavily impacted the Medford Mattress warehouse, is now fully contained to the original building, with firefighters focusing on addressing lingering hot spots.

While much of the damage was confined to the warehouse, significant exposure damage was reported at a neighboring business, Buttercloud Bakery. Firefighters remain on-site, working through overhaul operations to ensure the fire is fully extinguished and no further risk exists.

Public Works crews are assisting with cleanup, and road closures continue in the surrounding area. Streets including 10th, Front, and 11th remain shut down for the safety of both emergency responders and the public. Pacific Power crews have completed necessary repairs to damaged utility lines, and power has been fully restored to the area.

The building where the fire originated was unoccupied at the time of the incident, and fortunately, no injuries have been reported. Firefighters from the Medford Fire Department, alongside mutual aid partners, will remain on scene throughout the evening to monitor the situation as they finish their work.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Authorities are urging residents and drivers to continue avoiding the area while cleanup efforts are ongoing. Emergency responders are working diligently to ensure the scene is safe and that no further hazards remain.
