    Deputy-Involved Shooting in Klamath County Leaves One Critically Injured

    Medford, OR – An officer-involved shooting occurred at Collier State Park in Klamath County on Monday morning, leaving a 35-year-old male critically injured. The incident took place around 9:45 a.m. and involved deputies from the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office.

    According to initial reports, the man was struck by gunfire and was immediately transported to a local hospital in Klamath Falls, where he is currently receiving medical treatment. Authorities have not disclosed the individual’s identity or the circumstances that led to the shooting. No deputies were injured during the incident.

    The Oregon State Police (OSP) is leading the investigation, with support from the Klamath Falls Police Department. At this time, OSP has not released further details about the events leading up to the shooting but stated that additional information will be provided as the investigation progresses.

    This incident marks the latest in a series of officer-involved shootings in Oregon, prompting continued public interest in the circumstances surrounding law enforcement use of force.
