Medford, OR – Medford firefighters visited Jackson Elementary to teach students about fire safety, read with them and introduce them to a fire engine.
The Medford Fire Department said the visit took place the day before its October 24 post. Firefighters shared fire safety tips with students and gave them an up-close look at the equipment used by emergency crews.
The visit combined safety education with reading and an opportunity for students to learn more about the work firefighters do in their community.
The department thanked Jackson Elementary students and staff for welcoming the firefighters.
