Police officials said the suspect, later identified as 26-year-old Kamron, was arrested and later charged with multiple charges, including: aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and injury to a disabled person resulting in serious bodily injury, after he reportedly poured hot water on his autistic roommate before he used rubbing alcohol to burn her arms and legs. The 36-year-old autistic woman, who was not identified, suffered severe burns to her neck, back, legs and arms.
When officers arrived on scene, they reportedly found the 36-year-old woman suffering from multiple injuries. They say the woman suffered severe burns on her legs, arms, neck and back. During an interview with investigators, the woman reportedly said that her roommate, Kamron, assaulted her few days before she called 911.
The disabled woman also told investigators that her roommate poured hot water on her while was being bathed by a caregiver. During that incident, she suffered burns on her back and neck. Shortly after, the 36-year-old roommate used rubbing alcohol to douse the victim’s legs and arms before lighting them with match. The flames caused severe burns in her arms and legs.
Per reports, Kamron also made the victim stand in a corner until her legs were swollen. During an interview with investigators, the 36-year-old man reportedly said that he punished his roommate because he was angry with her for urinating on herself and believed that she needed to be punished. Kamron was taken into custody and is being held on $250,000 bond. This incident remains under investigation.
