Medford, OR – A tragic two-vehicle crash on Highway 97 in Klamath County, Oregon, claimed the lives of four individuals on Sunday, December 22, 2024. The incident, which occurred before 8 a.m. near milepost 234, resulted in the deaths of a 21-year-old driver and three juvenile passengers.

According to the Oregon State Police (OSP), the crash unfolded when Trevor Christian McNally, 21, of Klamath Falls, lost control of his vehicle. McNally’s car crossed into the oncoming lane, where it was struck head-on by a southbound commercial vehicle. The driver of the commercial vehicle, Amandeep Singh, 30, of Yuba City, California, was unable to avoid the collision.

McNally was declared dead at the scene, along with three passengers in his vehicle: a 13-year-old female, a 13-year-old male, both from Klamath Falls, and a 15-year-old female from Germany. A fourth passenger, 19-year-old Wyatt Charles McNally, also of Klamath Falls, sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Singh, along with his passenger, 26-year-old Balraj Lalli, both suffered minor injuries. They were also taken to the hospital but were expected to recover.

The crash caused significant disruptions to traffic on Highway 97, with the roadway being closed for over six hours as investigators processed the scene. The Oregon State Police were assisted by Chiloquin Fire and the Oregon Department of Transportation during the investigation and cleanup.

Initial reports suggest that road conditions may have been a primary factor in the collision. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash.
