Black Friday shoppers buy in stores to avoid complications online

Black Friday shopping this year is a little bit different from years prior.

Many student shoppers at a local Best Buy in Medford were shopping for technology that would assist them through Zoom classes and the college application process.

A father and son came to Best Buy for an all in one HP computer. Joe says he tried to shop online but it was too challenging and figured he would score the same deals in person.

Joe was not concerned about long lines or crowded stores and said he made it in and out within a short period of time.

Many retailers including Best Buy are pushing for contact free curbside pick up. The store is making this effort in addition to other COVID-19 protocols such as frequent sanitizing, wearing masks inside the store at all times, and limiting the number of shoppers coming into the store at one time.
