Eagle Point, Oregon – A major drug bust in Eagle Point led to the arrest of two individuals after an extensive two-month investigation into cocaine distribution. The Medford Area Drug and Gang Enforcement team (MADGE), with support from the Oregon-Idaho High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA), executed the operation on April 3rd, following multiple community complaints about suspected drug activity in the area.

During the search of a residence on Ponderosa Way, authorities uncovered significant evidence of drug trafficking, seizing over 100 grams of cocaine, eight firearms—including several “ghost guns”—and approximately $48,000 in cash. Additionally, four vehicles and a motorcycle were confiscated as part of the investigation.

The suspects, identified as Ulysses Timothy Chappel III, 55, and Stacy Lyn Cramer, 52, were both taken into custody. Chappel faces several serious charges, including unlawful possession, delivery, and manufacture of cocaine, along with being a felon in possession of a firearm. Cramer is facing similar charges related to the unlawful possession, delivery, and manufacture of cocaine.

The operation is part of a broader regional effort to disrupt drug trafficking in Southern Oregon, with MADGE working in collaboration with HIDTA to address and reduce the impact of illegal drug distribution. According to law enforcement officials, the community’s cooperation through tips played a crucial role in the investigation’s success.

Authorities continue to investigate the case, and further arrests may follow. Both Chappel and Cramer remain in custody as they await further proceedings.
