Medford, OR – According to the city officials, this closure will allow Knife River Materials to rebuild and widen the roadway quickly before winter.

City officials also said that construction so far this year has focused on the McAndrews Road interchange area and ramps.

Crews have rebuilt adjacent roadway, added retaining walls, installed new waterlines, sidewalks and signal bases.

Work will continue in the corridor between McAndrews Road north to Delta Waters Road.

Drivers who continue to use Foothill Road north of McAndrews Road during construction should still expect delays of up to 20 minutes and seek alternate routes.

The $62 million Medford Foothill Road project is being constructed in part due to a $15 million Federal Build Grant received by the City of Medford.

ODOT is administering and is overseeing the inspection for the Foothill Road improvements for Medford.

An added feature of the project is constructing the first 1,000 feet of the South Stage Road improvements west of North Phoenix Road.
