    Gold Beach Police Officer Involved in Shooting Incident

    Gold Beach, Ore. – A police officer in Gold Beach responded to a disturbance Saturday night, which ultimately led to a shooting involving the suspect. The incident is under investigation by the Curry County Major Crimes Team, with the Oregon State Police taking the lead in the inquiry.

    According to initial reports, the suspect was transported to Curry General Hospital following the shooting, where he was stabilized before being transferred to Springfield for further treatment. Authorities have not disclosed the extent of the suspect’s injuries.

    As per protocol for officer-involved shootings, the Curry County Major Crimes Team is handling the investigation. The Curry County District Attorney’s office confirmed that further details regarding the incident would not be released to the public at this time. However, they did state that if there were any immediate threats to the public, relevant information would have been provided promptly.

    While the investigation continues, no additional information has been shared about the circumstances leading up to the shooting or the nature of the disturbance that prompted the police response. The public is encouraged to await official updates from law enforcement as the investigation progresses.
