According to the police officials, the father, later identified as 24-year-old Amir, was arrested and later charged with murder after he reportedly killed his 5-year-old son, Karter. The boy, who had autism and couldn’t talk or defend himself, suffered life-threatening injuries and died one day after he was admitted to hospital.

The medical examiner told investigators that the autistic child had brulses all over his body and his brain was hemorrhaged. The boy’s dad was initially charged with intentional child abuse. His charge was upgraded following the child’s death.

The hospital staff reportedly called the authorities after the 5-year-old nonverbal child was admitted with life-threatening injuries. The child was admitted into the intensive care unit in critical condition. Authorities later revealed that the 24-year-old dad was responsible for the injuries.

The victim’s grandmother, Tifani, reportedly said that her grandson was spending the holidays with his father when the fatal incident occurred. When the boy’s grandmother asked her son about the fatal injuries, he reportedly said that Karter fell in the shower. The woman ‘also wrote on her social media account that her son beat her 5-year-old autistic grandson for peeing in the bed.
