Medford, Ore. — The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) held a swearing-in ceremony this week to celebrate several promotions and the addition of a new team member. The event, which took place Wednesday at the Sheriff’s Office, recognized the hard work and dedication of individuals advancing within the department.

Sheriff Nate Sickler led the ceremony, where Lieutenant Ainsworth, Lieutenant Richmond, Sergeant Amaya, Sergeant Grissom, Sergeant Kolkemo, Corporal Auchard, and Deputy Wilson were officially sworn in. Their promotions reflect their commitment and performance within the department, and the ceremony marked a significant milestone in their careers.

In addition to the promotions, a new hire was also welcomed into the Sheriff’s Office team. The individual’s appointment is part of an ongoing effort to strengthen the department and serve the community with dedication and professionalism.

Sheriff Sickler took a moment during the ceremony to offer words of wisdom to the newly promoted officers and the entire team. “As you move forward, be leaders, not managers,” Sickler advised. “Look out for your people and do a good job.” His message underscored the importance of leadership, teamwork, and the responsibility each officer has to both their colleagues and the community they serve.

The event was a celebratory occasion for the department and a reminder of the importance of strong, ethical leadership in law enforcement. With these new appointments, the JCSO continues to build a team that is focused on effective leadership, service, and community safety.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office expressed their pride in the newly promoted officers and encouraged the community to join in congratulating them as they take on their new roles within the department.
