Police officials said the 25-year-old woman, later identified as Natalie, and the 31-year-old man, later identified as Nafis, were arrested and taken into custody after they reportedly nearly killed a man after robbing him. Both suspects were arrested and later charged with multiple charges, including: attempted murder, kidnaping, armed robbery, arson and drug-related charges.

According to the statement, Natalie and Nafis reportedly lured a man from social media on a date, before they kidnapped him, took turns cutting his throat and then threw him from a bridge. Luckily, the victim, who was not identified, survived. During a interview with investigators, the victim reportedly said that he met Natalie on social media. Shortly after, they met and went to a fast food restaurant. The victim then dropped her off at her home and left.

The 25-year-old woman then messaged the victim the next day, saying that she wanted to see him again. They reportedly met at the same home as the night before. The victim also told investigators that they went at a cookout at her ‘uncle’s home’. Several hours later, the victim was ready to leave. Unfortunately, Nafis then got into the vehicle and began punching the victim. The victim also told investigators that he reportedly heard Natalie saying that ‘they were going to take him to a place and take everything from him, kill him, and throw him in the water’.

The unidentified victim thought that they were joking until Nafis and Natalie took him to the bridge, got him out of the vehicle, beat him some more, and then Nafis grabbed him, held him, and cut victim’s throat with a knife. Nafis then threw the victim over the side of the bridge into the water. Police officials said the victim was able to survive the fall and the injuries. He reportedly swam towards land, where a boater found him. Police officials said the man was severely injured and and hardly able to stand. Dried blo0d covered his face and the doctors discovered that there were deep lacerations on the front and sides of his neck.
