Medford, OR – On Sunday afternoon, March 9, a fire broke out at a manufactured home in the 2600 block of Glory C Road. The fire was reported by a concerned neighbor who observed smoke and flames from the front of the residence. The neighbor immediately verified that no one was inside the home before calling 9-1-1 to alert authorities.

Firefighters arrived swiftly at the scene and found the structure engulfed in smoke and flames emanating from the front of the home. The first engine crew quickly began suppressing the fire, which was primarily contained to the living room and kitchen areas. Crews worked efficiently to clear smoke from the home and conducted a thorough search to ensure the fire had not spread to other parts of the building.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but authorities believe it may have been related to an electronic device that was charging while the homeowner was away. Fire officials are urging caution when charging devices unattended, as they can pose a fire risk if faulty or overheating.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the homeowner was not present at the time of the fire. Fire crews were able to prevent further damage to the structure, and the situation was quickly brought under control. Investigators will continue to look into the incident to determine the exact cause and assess any potential safety improvements for the future.

This fire serves as a reminder of the importance of fire safety, particularly when it comes to the safe use of electronic devices in the home.
