MEDFORD, Ore. – Medford Parks and Recreation is currently assessing the damage caused by heavy snowfall that hit the area recently. The city has reported significant damage to trees in several parks, prompting a major cleanup effort by the department.

Parks and Recreation crews have been working diligently to clear debris from affected areas, but due to the widespread damage, city officials estimate that cleanup could take several weeks to complete. Fallen trees, broken branches, and other hazardous debris have been identified across multiple park locations.

City representatives are urging residents to exercise caution when visiting local parks during this time. They have advised park-goers to be mindful of fallen trees and any areas that may be unsafe due to storm-related damage.

The city’s efforts to restore the parks to their normal state are ongoing, with crews prioritizing the most heavily impacted areas. As the cleanup continues, Medford residents are asked to remain patient and aware of potential hazards in affected parks.

Parks and Recreation is committed to ensuring that public spaces are safe and accessible as soon as possible. Updates regarding the progress of the cleanup and park closures will be provided to the public as the situation evolves.
