Police officials said the young mother, later identified as 20-year-old Lynn, was arrested and later charged with murder after she reportedly killed her 7-month-old baby son Jackson. Per reports, the 20-year-old suspect reportedly grabbed her son and threw him on the bed before wrapping the little baby in blankets and applying pressure to his abdomen until the boy stopped crying. The woman then told authorities that she threw her baby on the floor of the bedroom.

Police officials said the woman then went back to sleep. After she killed her son and threw his body on the floor, the woman reportedly started a fundraiser to collect funds for his funeral and cremation. The 911 caller told the dispatcher about an unresponsive baby. The responding officers discovered that the 20-year-old mom was living with 3 people – two roommates and the baby’s dad. One of the witnesses reportedly told authorities that Lynn reportedly woke up in the middle of the night because her baby was crying.

The roommate then told authorities that after Lynn picked her baby, she reportedly took him into her bedroom. Shortly after, the roommates reportedly heard a banging noise and then Lynn went back to sleep.  During an interview with investigators, the 20-year-old mom reportedly said that she threw her baby on the bed before she wrapped the child in blankets and applied pressure to his abdomen.

When the baby stopped crying, the mother threw his body on the floor. She didn’t called for help, but went back to sleep, authorities said. The following day, the 20-year-old woman launched a fundraiser, which stated that the boy’s death was a mystery. “We are raising money for the funeral, memorial, and cremation of mine and Seans baby boy. He died at 7 months and 8 days. He was the light of our life and soon we will know what happened,” the fundraiser reportedly stated.
