Police officials said the 30-year-old suspect, later identified as Timothy, was arrested at a restaurant where he worked and later extradited after he reportedly killed his girlfriend’s baby. The man is now facing multiple charges, including first-degree murder by abuse or neglect. Prosecutors claim the suspect beat his girlfriend’s 1-year-old daughter to death while the mother was at work.

In March 2023, the 911 called told the dispatcher about a child suffering a medical emergency. First responders arrived at the mother’s home and found the severely injured girl. The responding officers discovered that the 1-year-old baby had visible signs of physical injury throughout her body. The 1-year-old child was rushed to the hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

During an interview with investigators, the 30-year-old then-mother’s boyfriend reportedly said that the 1-year-old child  began crying at around 2 a.m. Timothy also told investigators that when he checked on the victim, who was not identified, he realized that she had v0mited on herself, so he changed and cleaned her before putting the 1-year-old child back to bed, per reports. The girl’s mom left for work in the morning and Timothy was the only person with the girl.

The suspect also told authorities that he woke up at 9 a.m. and went into the girl’s room. He also told investigators that he noticed that the 1-year-old baby looked before she stumbled into the living room. The child then fell down and started to have a seizure. But, an autopsy determined that the 1-year-old child suffered multiple blunt force internal injuries. The child’s pancreas and the membrane attaching her intest!nes to the outside of the st0mach were lacerated.
