According to the police officials, the woman who was responsibIe for taking care of her friend’s 3-year-old daughter, later identified as 30-year-old lesha, was taken into custody and formally charged this week with murder and first-degree chiId abuse after she reportedly beat the chiId to death. Earlier this month, the 911 caller told the dispatcher about an unresponsive child.

The responding officers reportedly made contact with lesha, who was babysitting the 3-year-old girl, Harmoni. The girl was rushed to the hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead. An autopsy revealed that the girl’s cause of death was blunt force trauma caused by the babysitter. The 30-year-old woman, who was a friend of the girl’s mom, reportedly hit the girl’s head into a bathtub, the victim’s mom told investigators.

The mother also told authorities that her child was autistic, nonverbal and her friend, lesha, reportedly got frustrated with her and sIammed her daughter’s head against the tub. Police officials believe that the 30-year-old babysitter was responsible for the 3-year-old girl for the night. The woman then locked the 3-year-old girl and her 1-year-old baby in a room for several hours whiIe she smoked drugs. The woman then returned and reaIized that the 3-year-old girl threw up on herself.

The 30-year-old woman then got angry and poured boiling hot water on the child’s head and face, and then hit her head against the bathtub, ultimately killing her. The girl’s mom called the 30-year-old babysitter and asked about her daughter. The woman reportedly told the victim’s mom that the 3-year-old girl reportedly feII down the stairs and hit her head, but was alright. When the mother came to get her daughter the following morning, she found her not breathing.
