    Woman grabbed a walking frame and used it to strike 66-year-old woman multiple times in the head and face, killing her, after they god into an argument because she thought the older woman was trying to steal her boyfriend!

    Police officials said the suspect, later identified as 37-year-old Denise, was arrested and later charged with first-degree murder after she reportedly took a walking frame and used it to beat 66-year-old Melinda to death. The 66-year-old victim suffered from multiple injuries to her head and face and was transported to a local hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

    According to the police officials, the victim and the suspect got into argument after Denise blamed Melinda of pursuing a relationship with her boyfriend. The fatal incident occurred on Nov. 2, 2023. Officers responded to a disturbance call and found the elderly woman suffering from severe injuries to her face and head.

    The 66-year-old victim was rushed to the hospital, where she was later pronounced dead. According to reports, the 66-year-old victim and Denise reportedly got into a fight because, according to Denise, the elderly woman was allegedly trying to steal her boyfriend.

    Police officials said their fight escalated before Denise grabbed a walking frame and beat Melinda in the head and face with it. According to the statement, the beating continued until bystanders were able to stop the 37-year-old woman. This incident remains under investigation. Denise is being held without bond. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Violent Crimes Unit at 389-4869.
