Medford, OR – According to the city officials, CIPP is reportedly an efficient, cost-effective way to rehabilitate the City’s aging infrastructure and save residents money on sewer utility fees.

This is the 19th year the City of Medford has issued a contract for this highly specialized work.

When completed, this contract will line 84 sewer pipes totaling 18,105.7 feet (3.4 miles) and 27 storm drain pipes totaling 7,485.1 feet.

CIPP is a specialized process where crews reline the existing pipes with a felt liner that’s saturated with epoxy, then inflate and cure it.

This treatment means the City won’t have to dig up the roads and has minimal disruption to residents. It also allows for longer pipe section repairs.

To date, 136,532.50 feet of CIPP for sewer pipe and 31,532.50 feet for storm water pipe have been completed.
