According to the police officials, the elderly woman, later identified as 69-year-old Margaret, was taken into custody and later charged with first-degree premeditated murder after she reportedly killed her live-in boyfriend. The victim, Gary, was a terminally ill cancer patient, police officials said. Per reports, the girlfriend reportedly grabbed a pillow and smothered the man to death because she had to take care for him.

Last month, home health care worker reportedly found Gary dead. The responding officers reportedly found no injuries to Gary, whose body was found inside the house he shared with his girlfriend. But, several days later, Gary’s friend of 30 years reportedly told authorities that Margaret reportedly admitted to planning and killing him. During an interview with investigators, Gary’s friend reportedly said that Margaret expressed disgust with having to care for Gary, because he was defecating himself due to his illness and she did not wish to clean him and would wait for a home health care nurse to clean him next time they visited.

Gary’s friend also told investigators that she received a call from Margaret who reportedly told her that she grabbed a pillow and smothered the terminally ill man to death. Margaret also told Gary’s friend that she covered Gary with a blanket so the home health care worker would think the victim died in his sleep.

During another call, police officials said Margaret reportedly told Gary’s friend that she was feeling better and admitted to using a pillow to smother the Gary. During an interview with investigators, the woman reportedly admitted to killing Gary after he called her to his bedroom complaining about being in pain. The 69-year-old woman also said that she decided to kill her live-in boyfriend in order to prevent him from being in further pain.
