Medford, OR – Medford firefighters responded to a reported structure fire in a detached garage on West Main Street around 9 p.m., with assistance from Jacksonville Fire Department and Jackson County Fire District 3.
Crews arrived within five minutes of the Emergency Communications of Southern Oregon 911 dispatch and quickly extinguished the fire, preventing it from spreading beyond the interior of the garage.
The garage remained intact, but the interior and its contents sustained significant heat and smoke damage.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Medford Fire Department thanked its mutual aid partners for assisting crews during the response.
