Medford, OR – Medford Parks and Recreation volunteers donated 262 hours and removed more than 1,300 pounds of trash and debris in August
The City of Medford is recognizing Medford Parks and Recreation volunteers for their work throughout the community during August, highlighting hundreds of hours of service and cleanup efforts.
According to the city, volunteers donated a total of 262 hours during the month while taking on a variety of projects across Medford.
The volunteers removed 1,305 pounds of trash and debris from local areas, helping clean and maintain public spaces throughout the community.
Their work also included weeding and maintaining the pollinator garden, as well as clearing vegetation at the historic Eastwood Cemetery.
Volunteers also tackled trash and graffiti at Bear Creek Park as part of their efforts to improve and maintain community spaces.
The City of Medford thanked the volunteers for their time, energy and commitment to helping make the community a better place.
