Medford, OR – Medford Police Department officials released a statement, saying that they’ve noticed a rise in phone call scams, mostly targeted at employees of restaurants and shopping centers, resulting in the loss of thousands of dollars. In recent cases, the scammer will repotedly call an employee and pretend to be someone from the employer’s corporate office or a branch manager. The caller then advises the employee to purchase gift cards or bitcoin using money from their employer. Medford, OR – According to the city officials, the anti-vehicle barriers will be used to help ensure the safety of residents and visitors attending outdoor events in Southern Oregon.
