Medford, OR – The City of Medford has announced expanded parking options and ongoing construction of new recreational amenities at Howard Memorial Sports Park as development continues at the RogueX facility.

City officials said a 150-space gravel overflow parking lot has opened along the west side of RogueX to help accommodate visitors during peak periods. In addition, Logos Public Charter School’s 154-space parking lot at the east entrance will be available for public use on weekends, after-school hours, and throughout the summer months.

Further parking improvements are planned in the coming months, including the opening of a 90-space paved lot on the northeast side of the facility. The lot will be located near the in-progress replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall.

Construction is also progressing on new recreational features within the park. At Lithia & Driveway Pickleball Park, three of the five concrete pads have been poured. The planned 19-court pickleball complex, along with a four-court sand volleyball facility, is expected to be completed by early summer.

City officials also outlined additional improvements planned for the area, including three youth ballfields with batting cages and a neighborhood park adjacent to the war memorial. The neighborhood park is currently in advanced design and engineering stages, with construction anticipated to begin later this year.

The projects are part of broader efforts to enhance recreational opportunities and accommodate increased visitor activity at Howard Memorial Sports Park.
