    Oregon State Police Investigate Homicide of Lakeview Juvenile; Mother and Boyfriend Arrested

    Lakeview, OR – Oregon State Police have launched a homicide investigation following the death of a juvenile in Lakeview. Authorities arrested Amanda Edwards, 38, and her boyfriend Nathaniel Cullins, 31, in connection to the tragic incident. Both individuals face multiple serious charges, including Criminally Negligent Homicide, Criminal Mistreatment in the First Degree, Abuse of a Corpse in the Second Degree, and Tampering with Physical Evidence. Cullins is also charged with Unlawful Use of a Weapon.

    The case began to unfold when police responded to reports of a juvenile’s death under suspicious circumstances. Investigators, after conducting a thorough inquiry, believe the juvenile’s death resulted from neglect and abuse, leading to the arrest of Edwards and Cullins.

    Authorities have not disclosed further details about the victim, citing the ongoing investigation. However, both Edwards and Cullins have been held in custody, pending further legal proceedings.

    Edwards has a probable cause preliminary hearing scheduled for Tuesday, February 25, 2025, where it is expected that more information regarding the case will be presented in court.

    The Oregon State Police continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death, with assistance from local law enforcement agencies. At this time, no additional arrests have been made, but authorities are urging anyone with relevant information to come forward.

    The case has shaken the Lakeview community, with many residents expressing shock and grief over the loss of a young life under such troubling circumstances.
