    Husband, who was out on probation for indcent contact with a minor under the age of 13 and had a pending divorce with his wife, claimed that his wife punched him before he grabbed a cutting tool and beat the woman to death with it; sentenced

    According to the court documents, the 38-year-old husband, later identified as Armando, was sentenced to 24 years in prison after he killed his 39-year-old wife Erica. Prosecutors said the defendant was sentenced after he pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and tampering with evidence. Per reports, the husband, while out on supervlsed pr0bation, grabbed an ax and beat his wife to death with it.

    During an interview with investigators, the man reportedly claimed that his wife punched him before he beat her to death. The ax was was found in the Armando’s home, court records say. According to the court documents, the 28-year-old husband was out on probation for se-ual contact with a minor and was wearing a GPS ankle monitor when he beat his wife to death.

    Per reports, the husband reportedly had a se-ual contact with a minor under the age of 13 and had a pending divorce with Erica. The 38-year-old husband reportedly told investigators that he beat his wife following an argument. Police officials said that Armando’s ankle m0nitor data undercut his story of where he and his wife were.

    During an initial interview, he reportedly told investigators that he went with his wife went to cut firewood in the forest. After that, they returned to his house and he dropped  his wife off at her residence, he told investigators. But, when authorities told him about the ankle monitor data, he reportedly admitted to beating his wife to death with an axe. During an interview with investigators, the man also claimed that Erica punched him before he beat her to death with the ax.
