Medford, OR – A serious pedestrian crash temporarily closed the far-right lane of Riverside Avenue near 9th Street in downtown Medford earlier today, according to the Medford Police Department (MPD). The incident, which occurred around mid-morning, involved a pedestrian and prompted a significant response from emergency services.

MPD described the crash as “serious” in a post on social media, but details regarding the extent of the pedestrian’s injuries have not yet been released. Authorities blocked off the far-right lane as first responders worked to investigate the scene and attend to the victim.

As of now, the lane has been reopened, and traffic is moving again in the area, though drivers are urged to remain cautious as investigators continue their work. Local officials have not provided further information on the circumstances of the crash but emphasized that this is a developing situation.

Medford police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has relevant information to contact them as they continue their investigation.
