ASHLAND, Ore. – Local fire crews are currently responding to a fire on Lowe Road in Ashland, Oregon, after a burn pile got out of control, igniting surrounding flammable material. Ashland Fire and Rescue’s battalion chief confirmed the incident, which has prompted a swift response from the department to contain the fire.

The blaze, which began earlier this afternoon, was initially sparked by a burn pile that spread beyond its intended boundaries. Firefighters are working to prevent the flames from reaching additional structures and nearby vegetation. The battalion chief indicated that the situation remains active, with crews on-site assessing the spread and ensuring all necessary precautions are taken.

At this time, no injuries have been reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation. Local authorities have urged residents in the area to stay alert and avoid the vicinity as emergency services continue to manage the situation.

Residents and onlookers are advised to follow local news updates for more information and possible evacuation instructions, should the situation evolve.

Ashland Fire and Rescue, with support from nearby fire agencies, continues to battle the blaze in an effort to bring it under control and minimize any further damage.
