Grants Pass, Ore. – A woman is in custody after allegedly stabbing her husband on Tuesday afternoon in Grants Pass.

According to the Grants Pass Police Department (GPPD), officers responded to a report of an assault at approximately 2:15 p.m. in the 1400 block of East Park Street. Upon arriving at the scene, authorities discovered that the victim, a man, had been stabbed by his wife, identified as 39-year-old Allison Jenkins.

The victim was quickly transported to a nearby hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities confirmed that Jenkins had fled the scene prior to their arrival.

After a brief search, GPPD officers located and arrested Jenkins near the south end of Morrison Park. She is now being held at the Josephine County Jail on multiple charges, including assault and robbery. The police department has indicated that the case is still under investigation.

While the circumstances leading to the stabbing remain unclear, law enforcement officials have confirmed that they are continuing to gather information. As of now, Jenkins is awaiting further legal proceedings.

More details may be released as the investigation progresses.
