Klamath County, Ore. – The Klamath County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) is investigating the death of a 57-year-old man in Bonanza as a homicide, following an incident that took place Monday afternoon.

At approximately 4:30 p.m., Klamath County 911 received a report about a deceased individual located in the area. Authorities later identified the man as Donald Hadfield. Upon further investigation, KCSO officials determined that Hadfield’s death was not due to natural causes, prompting the activation of the Klamath County Major Crimes Team.

The Major Crimes Team, which is comprised of members from the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office, the Klamath Falls Police Department, Oregon State Police, and the Klamath County District Attorney’s Office, has taken over the investigation. As of now, investigators are searching for a white male adult who is believed to be connected to the case.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist with the investigation. Those with details are encouraged to contact the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office at (541) 883-5130.

This case remains under active investigation, and authorities have not released additional details regarding the circumstances surrounding Hadfield’s death.

As the investigation continues, KCSO has emphasized the importance of community involvement and urged residents to report any relevant information that may help solve the case.

The Klamath County Sheriff’s Office and its partners are committed to providing updates as more information becomes available.
