KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — The Klamath Falls Police Department (KFPD) has made an arrest in connection with a series of recent burglaries in the city. The arrest comes after an ongoing investigation that began earlier this month.

On March 2, officers responded to a suspicious incident report at Riy’s Market, located at 4237 Greensprings Drive. An employee had noticed personal property outside the business, prompting the call to authorities. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the market had been burglarized. This led to the initiation of an investigation.

Three days later, on March 5, officers responded to an alarm at Tyler’s Texas BBQ, located at 1414 Oregon Avenue. Initially, the officers believed the business to be secure. However, after a closer inspection, it was revealed that the back door had been forced open, and the restaurant had also been burglarized.

As the investigation progressed, KFPD detectives connected the two burglaries and identified two persons of interest. One of these individuals was located on March 9 at the Washburn Chevron, located at 3301 Washburn Way.

The suspect, 35-year-old Christopher Garrison, was arrested at approximately 8:13 p.m. He was charged with two counts of second-degree burglary, two counts of first-degree criminal mischief, one count of first-degree theft, one count of second-degree theft, and a bench warrant for failure to appear. Police also discovered that Garrison was in possession of stolen property from both burglaries.

At the time of his arrest, Garrison was booked into the Klamath County Jail but was later released. KFPD officials continue to investigate the case and are still searching for the second person of interest involved in the burglaries.

The KFPD urges anyone with information about these incidents to come forward and assist with the investigation.
