Medford, OR — The Medford Fire Department successfully contained a two-alarm structure fire in the 1000 block of Rossanley Drive late Thursday afternoon. Fire crews were initially dispatched to the scene, where they worked quickly to knock down the flames and prevent further damage to the surrounding area.

According to a statement from the fire department, crews were able to get the fire under control and are now focusing on ensuring safety and securing the area. “We’ve made significant progress, and the fire is under control,” a department spokesperson confirmed. “Fire investigators are currently on site, working with the property owners to determine the origin and cause of the fire.”

No injuries have been reported, though the extent of property damage is still being assessed. Fire officials expect to have the roadway reopened within the next 30 to 40 minutes, though motorists are advised to avoid the area for the time being.

The Medford Fire Department dispatched multiple units to the scene as part of the two-alarm response, with additional resources brought in to assist in managing the incident. Firefighters worked to secure the safety of nearby homes and businesses while efforts continued to bring the fire under control.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, and officials are expected to release more details as they become available.

The department reminds residents to stay alert and follow safety protocols during ongoing incidents. Further updates will be issued as information becomes available.
