    Oregon State Police Investigate Officer-Involved Shooting at Collier State Park

    Medford, OR – Oregon State Police (OSP) are investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred at Collier State Park on Monday morning. At approximately 9:45 a.m., deputies from the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office were involved in a critical incident that resulted in the shooting of a 35-year-old male.

    The identity of the man, who was critically injured, has not been released by authorities. Following the shooting, he was immediately transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. While his condition remains unclear, officials confirmed that he is currently receiving care for his injuries. Fortunately, no injuries were reported among the Klamath County Sheriff’s Deputies involved in the incident.

    The Oregon State Police has taken the lead in the investigation, with support from the Klamath Falls Police Department. As of now, authorities have not disclosed additional details regarding the events that led to the shooting. The investigation remains ongoing, and law enforcement officials have promised further updates as more information becomes available.

    Residents and visitors in the area are urged to remain patient as the investigation continues, and more specifics are expected to be released in the coming days.
