GRANTS PASS, Ore. – The Redwood Foundation for Education is set to distribute more than $700,000 in scholarships to graduating high school seniors in Josephine County, Rogue River, and Glendale this month. The foundation’s efforts aim to support students pursuing a wide range of educational paths, with over 200 scholarship opportunities available annually.

One of the highlighted awards is the Josephine County Home Builders Association Scholarship, which offers $2,500 per year and is renewable for up to four years. This particular scholarship is geared toward students pursuing careers in the trades, providing critical financial support for those interested in hands-on professions.

Quin Collins Pehrson, Executive Director of the Redwood Foundation, expressed pride in the organization’s commitment to local students. “We are proud to support the next generation of leaders through these local scholarship awards,” Pehrson said. “Investing in their education is an investment in a brighter, stronger future for us all.”

In addition to this month’s awards, the Redwood Foundation is poised to increase its support in 2025, with plans to distribute over $1.5 million in grants and scholarships. These funds will benefit students from early childhood through post-secondary education transitions, underscoring the foundation’s ongoing commitment to education at all levels.

The Redwood Foundation’s initiatives are made possible by generous donations from individuals, businesses, and service organizations. With a growing endowment of $12 million, the foundation has invested more than $11.5 million in local education over the past 40 years, making a lasting impact on the community.
