Medford, OR – Several schools across Southern Oregon and Northern California are closing or delaying their schedules Friday, February 7, as a winter storm continues to impact the region. With snow and hazardous conditions expected to persist throughout the day, school officials have made the decision to prioritize student and staff safety by adjusting their operations.

Schools Closed on Friday, February 7:

    • College of the Siskiyous
    • Klamath County School District
    • Klamath Falls City Schools
    • Pinehurst School District
    • Ashland School District

In addition to these closures, a number of schools are implementing delayed start times for Friday.

    Schools with Delayed Openings:

    • Central Point School District (2-hour delay)
    • Eagle Point School District (2-hour delay)
    • Medford School District (2-hour delay)
    • Mt. Shasta High School (10:30 a.m. start time)
    • Phoenix-Talent Schools (2-hour delay)
    • Rogue River School District (1-hour delay)
    • Sacred Heart Catholic School (2-hour delay)
    • St. Mary’s School (2-hour delay)
    • Logos Public Charter School (2-hour delay)

The inclement weather, which includes snow and icy conditions, has made travel hazardous in some areas, prompting the closures and delays. Local authorities continue to monitor the storm, and school officials are urging families to remain vigilant and stay updated on any further changes.

Parents and students should be prepared for potential disruptions to normal school schedules and are encouraged to check school district websites and social media for real-time updates.

As the storm progresses, further closures or delays may be announced. Local residents are advised to use caution when traveling and to follow official weather advisories.
